This weekend is going to be good, I can tell.
First of all, coming home was not necessary for my life to go on.
And honestly, that’s sort of freeing.
I’m at the point where if there is a weekend I can’t go home, it’s not the end of the world.
But, this weekend I’m home, thankfully.
Last night, after the pep rally, I went back to my big’s apartment to get my stuff.
While we were there, she decided to go home for the night, and as she was packing handed me Pitch Perfect and said, “You never saw it, go watch it.”
And I DID.
Fabulous. Absolutely fabulous.
I have a new favorite movie to add to an ever-growing list.
Tomorrow, I plan to get ahead on assignments & STUNT prep.
But Sunday is where the real excitement is.
One of my favorite authors is coming to Bare Bulb.
I am ashamed to say I have not read all of her books, but meeting (and becoming friends with) her will forever stay in my memory.
Her name is Karen Spears Zacharias and she is the bomb.
This Sunday, she and another author, Ann Hite, will come to have much fun before they host a writer’s workshop on Monday. (If you’re interested, find Bare Bulb Coffee on Facebook.)
In all of the secret plans, I found out that my big sister’s apartment mate is playing banjo for the event.
Y’all, I know the coolest people.
So, we invited my big and her other apartment mate to come too.
Worlds will collide.
I love the people I get to be around.
And in case you ever wanted to know how crazy things can get at the first pep rally, somebody done dyed the fountain red.
